The Jubilee

We went to The Jubilee by accident while mum was here to babysit. No really, we did, honest. We really meant to go somewhere else. Or we thought that it was somewhere else. One of those sorts of things. Anyway, they locked the door after each customer which obviously made us feel very safe!

I only mention it because I found this photo of the pub on flickr. The council was probably trying to do us a favour with all those stop signs.

Gingerbread Man

Alex has turned into a C64 fan. That's the only explanation I have for her sitting in front of the computer this morning shouting "Peek Poke Peek Poke".

Spaghetti Yeti

We know someone who really likes spaghetti.

Sour Cream Chocolate Cake

Yet more cake! I blame Mum. If she hadn't brought over the cake mixer I would never have bothered to make this by hand.

Hints and tips: Putting butter in the top oven for a couple of minutes to soften while the bottom oven is on is a wise and sensible plan. Leaving it in the oven for half an hour results only in a huge pool of melted butter at the bottom of the oven. Just so you know.
