No matter what she says about Pocky, television and babycinos this is really what makes Alex happy. Running. Running here, there and everywhere. If there is a ball to throw or kick just for the joy of being able to run after it so much the better. Dry weather is our friend.
Stephanie is getting quite good at reaching and grabbing. Time to start moving mugs of tea and sharp cutlery much further away that you would think is necessary. Yesterday we were in the car and she discovered that she could tap the rattle to make a noise. And that is just what she did for the entire car journey. A single minded baby.
I have also discovered that the sound of children in one of those indoor play things sends her straight to sleep. She was grouching round the house this morning impossible to settle so I thought I would look at the wee videos we took at a birthday party at the weekend. Lots of laughing, shouting, shrieking children noises. Stephanie was fast asleep within five minutes.
Alex has started to not want to go to Patacakes. I'm not sure why. She seems to have a great time when she is there so I guess it is just the drop off that causes the problem. Today I brought in some Irish food for the wee ones to taste. Irish stew, wheaten bread, cheese, butter, barm brack. They tried to coax Alex into the room by telling her that they had lovely food just like she gets at home. Hmmmm, pretty sure that should be pasta and curry then.
