Bed Escape 3,4 and 5

Well, it would appear that a) we really need to get rails for the bed and b) Alex always rolls off counter clockwise.

Bed Escape 2

Well, less of an escape and more of a slither I suspect.

I stuck my head round the door to see how she was getting on. An empty bed.

Foolish enough not to buy rails we were sensible enough to pad each side of the bed with extra duvets. Alex has somehow managed to slither off the bed and onto one big pile of duvet and still stay asleep.

Now, should we put her back or just let her nest there on the lovely soft pile of duvet?

Bed Escape 1

Well, ok, how many people have said "You might be amazed. Sometimes it takes months before they realise they can just get out of the bed whenever they want."?

It took Alex fifteen minutes to get as far as out of the bed and half way down the stairs.

Perhaps we should get a bed with really high rails. Really high rails that go all the way round the bed. Hmmmmm, perhaps that is just a very big cot! Or just pad the entire floor of the bedroom and call it all bed.

So, Alex is upstairs in her new bed in a different bedroom. Anyone want to bet on how long it is before we see her coming down the stairs?

We did get all the way through the bedtime process before she decided that she wanted to sleep in her cot after all. But the lure of the Thomas the Tank Engine duvet and Upsy Daisy nightwear was too strong.

Oh, and we didn't get side rails for the bed. It looks terrifyingly narrow. I think we will go and buy some tomorrow.
