Afternoon Nap

This afternoon I suggested to Alex that it might be time for a nap. Normally she just ignores me when I mention sleep presumably in the hope that I'll forget about it. But today she toddled off, put on her green woolly hat, wrapped a sarong around herself and lay down on the front door mat. I'd like to emphasise here that we never make her sleep on the front door map - how would we get the door open if we did? Oh and it's not like we make her wear a hat and sarong in bed either.

 

 

 

Home Safe and Sound

 

We're just back from a week at Praia da Luz in Portugal. Google for it, it's been in the news a lot this summer.

We had a fabulous time. Ian and I learnt to sail in the mornings and Alex had fun at the Mark Warner creche while we did. There was even a dinning out service where you could settle your baby/child in the evening and then leave them in the creche with some nannies while you went out and had your dinner.

Between sailing, horse riding, body boarding, swimming and flights with a toddler that pinches I am all aches and pains and have too many bruises. But it was all fun. Well apart from those first two nights when Alex didn't sleep at all but we'll gloss over that.
