Running last night didn't go well at all. Well, I just didn't run at all which is nearly as bad as it can get. There was lots of thunder and lightning and rain and, well, you know, just couldn't bring myself to go outside. So I got wet by swimming instead. Going to run tonight though and then head round to Grainne and Kev's to say hello to Aunty D.
Swimming went well. The Zoggs Calm and Stretch Session 2 starts off with 8 lengths of front crawl. I'll tell you now I can't front crawl to save my life. Really. But I made a good stab at it. I think I did two lengths front crawl with out breaking down and breast stroking which is an improvement. And most of the other lengths were mostly front crawl with breast stroke to recover when it all fell apart and I tried to breath water. You would really think I would have learnt not to do that by now.
So 8 lengths of that. Followed by four lengths of front crawl kick while holding onto a kick board (yes, yes, I know we always used to just call them floats but this is serious swimming dammit :-). I find that I really don't have the muscles for this. But I managed to get the lengths done so hopefully it'll be easier next time.
After that it was just four lengths of what ever you fancy so I did a bit of back stroke and some nice relaxing breast stroke.
So, 16 lengths. Which is 488 metres. Which is plenty.
