Nine months old today
Amazing isn't it. Alex is nine months old.
This last week or so she has even developed some skills that aren't walking related. She knows how to wave now and most amusingly has discovered that she can do the hiding in a game of peekaboo. Granted she hasn't quite twigged yet that we aren't meant to be able to see her and is happy as long as she can't see us! But it's a step in the right direction.
We went to the doctor for her eight month check up yesterday. As expected she is still "thriving" and is doing well at mobility. The doctor did say that they wouldn't worry about her not being more talkative now but if she wasn't doing some serious babbling at twelve months it would be a concern.
She weights 9 kilos (19 pounds 13 ounces) and is 72 cm tall (2 foot 4 inches). She is bigger than the average baby in height as well as weight.
We've both been a bit unwell this week. Alex has had a bad cold with gunky eyes and streaming nose. And today she was very drooly as well. Its not an attractive look for her and it can't be any fun either. But when she isn't grizzling she is in great form. If that makes any sense. I have a really sore throat which is also no fun. In fact last night was the first time since June that I have woken in the middle of the night while Alex was still asleep.
Oh I think her hair grew a centimetre last night!
