Hail

So, yes, we did mean to go to Tesco today. We haven't shopped since before going to holiday and our food supplies are running low. Well, perhaps not low as we have cupboards full of tinned food. But almost no fresh veg.

But it was raining. And then there was hail. And then we decided that we could just shop on line and get it delivered during the week. So we made a cup of tea and stayed in.

Now the sun has come out and we have no food. Perhaps this is the time to make a quick dash to the Al-Amin for milk.

What I did in my Summer Holidays

Fabulous.

We spent a night in Malaga, three nights in Granada and four in Nerja.

Malaga turned out to be really pretty. A lovely old bit of town and a
big old fort thingy on a hill in the centre of town. The fort was
closed by the time we arrive but we walked to the top of the hill and
watched the sunset anyway. Big full moon glistening down on the sea
and the town all lit up with twinkley lights.

Granada is a great town. Lots of history and a beautiful old town
with plenty of churchs, mosques and ancient baths. Little windy
cobbled streets that look like a well laden donkey couldnt fit down
them that the wee buses still seem to manage. And the Al Alhambra.
We spent a full day from eight in the morning (I know, I know, buy
tickets months to a year in advance and avoid the early morning
queueing) until about five in the evening wandering round its palaces
and gardens and forts. Those boys really like a fountain, thats for
sure. Stunning buildings, stunning gardens.

Nerja, god love it, is a Costa del Sol touristy town. A quiet one
granted but thats all it is. We spent our time asleep or lying on the
beach. We did plan to go on a day trip or at least to go the Nerja
Cave but no. Lounging around was the order of the day. We did
snorkle once and I saw five small fish but that was it. It did have a
great selection or ice cream shops and was a perfect place to be to
watch the Chelsea matches!
